After years of documenting weddings, I've learned that the moments the people treasure most are rarely the perfectly posed ones. They are the photos that were never on your shot list and you could have never planned for even if you tried.


It's the small things that go unnoticed but still carry meaning and the big moments that bring the story all together.

Hey, my name is Jessi and...

I am a documentary wedding photographer based in Baltimore, Maryland, photographing weddings across the DMV and beyond on digital and 35mm film.


For over 13 years, I’ve documented weddings with an approach centered around observation rather than performance. The moments that move me most have never been the perfectly curated ones — they’re the fleeting interactions, the emotional undercurrent of a room, the small in-between moments you don’t realize are happening until they’re gone.


That’s what I’m always looking for.

A FEW THINGS ABOUT ME


Outside of weddings, I’m usually:


  • planning my next trip with nothing but a backpack
  • replaying the same cozy RPG for the fifth time
  • sewing something overly ambitious for Ren Fest
  • road-tripping through National Parks
  • hanging out with my daughter and my rescue pup


I’m deeply inspired by:

  • old films
  • human connection
  • movement and atmosphere
  • places that feel a little wild and lived-in


Which probably explains a lot about how I photograph weddings, too.

At the end of the day, I care far less about creating a perfectly curated version of your wedding and far more about preserving the feeling of it.

The energy.
The people.
The emotional weight of everyone being together in one place, at one moment in time.

That’s the story I’m interested in telling.
